This could possibly be an ARG eventually locating the fictional ship "Borealis", In the Half-Life/Portal universe. Valve, the software company which created both games are notorious for creating ARG's that lead up to the release of a major title. Possibly indicating the release of Half-Life 3.

In the Half-Life and Portal universe the Borealis is an Ice Breaker ship that is stranded in the arctic, along with parts of it's drydock, after mysteriously disappearing from Aperture Science's underground laboratories. The Borealis is likely to hold teleportation technology, or in fact itself be a vessel capable of teleportation. Half-Life 3's storyline is likely to be centered around finding and reaching the Borealis.

It is notable that the Agent System has stated "Condition Orange" and "Situation Lambda in effect". Half-Life's logo, and an iconic symbol within the universe of the Half-Life series is an orange lambda.

Within the story of Half-Life the protagonist Gordon Freeman is also responsible for aiding in the launch of two Earth-orbiting satellites with the goal of closing dimensional rifts.

Factors against this theory are that on the Valve ARG website there is no mention of any of the factors involved in OTP22, and their chat room has nobody working on any ARGs currently. There are none known to the Valve ARG community, who presumably would be aware of it. Link to the Valve ARG chat room http://valvearg.com/welcome/chat.php where members can be asked about current ARGs. However, these factors do not discount the possibility of a fan-made ARG.

Fan Made

It's possible that if this is a Valve-Universe-Related ARG, it's not an official Half-Life ARG, but a fan-made one. Conjecture disputing this is that Half Life ARG's are very open to the fact they are ARGs, and people are usually alerted to this right away. On the Valve ARG website there is no mention of any of the factors involved in OTP22, and their chat room has nobody working on any ARGs currently. There are none known to the Valve ARG community, who presumably would be aware of it. In contrast, this ARG/series-of-events began in at least late 2011, that we know of.
